Dropping In........
Summer has come and gone...and here's a quick update: eventSing was busy this summer stretching outside of the normal skate/wake/snow events and into some new roles which saw them managing a three day concert series at the RBC Canadian Open of Golf along with activity programming at the always popoular Coors Light Maxim Golf Experience. After celebrating VFest at the Molson Rocks Main Stage and hosting the Molson Canadian Mega Keg party this opast Saturday they now prep for a busy October. The famous Pink Tie Affair Rider's Cup launch party is in concert with Sandbox's "ALL DAY EVERYDAY" on October 18th @ the Great Hall. A week later you can find eventSing assisting with the XMC team at the LG Fashion Fusion evening gala featuring Maroon 5. Stay tuned for more happenings..........

'FRIENDS CELEBRATING FRIENDS' In Memory of Scott Shewchuk
I invite you to celebrate your friends this Wednesday April 16th at 10am at the bottom of the Whistler gondola for a day of fun red chair laps. The day is inspired by the late Scott Shewchuk who had a great impact on my life and unfortunately passed away suddenly this past October. I encourageyou to bring a friend, wear your Shewchuk t-shirt and and be ready for a billion stories about one of the most colourful individuals I/we've ever met. If you are in need of a 'Shewchuk for Prime Minister' shirt drop a quick email and we'll have one ready for you at the bottom of the chair in the am (Minimum Donation $20). THE ROAD...SOMETIMES SEEMS NEVER ENDING
So its Feb 17th and we've been on the road consistently doing events since January 22nd. We just completed the 3rd stop of the Rider's Cup series in Banff Norquay with great success and are now prepping to disappear next weekend with the Coors Light Mystery Mansion. Tomorrow is Family Day and I will be away from my family that means the most to me; atleast on the flip side I will be spending it with close firends; Jim, Evan and Juri on a 4hr road trip into Revelstoke for some of Canada's best powder (I'll probably chalk it up as an early 30th birthday present to myself). Happy Family Day to you and yours and hope you can spend it with those that mean the most to you. Big hugs and kisses to my family; Dana and Mela D xoxoxo

Ripleys Urban Rail Park - Polson Pier
On Jan 10th Polson Pier will kick off the long awaited launch of The Ripley's Urban Rail Park. We have 3 feet of snow and are ready to kick this thing off on the right foot. We will have snow demos from the Burton Snowboard team, skate demos from The Friendly Skateboard team. Were also giving away a signed Burton board.
The craziness begins at 8pm when the doors open and the prizes and the taps will be a flowin. There is no cost, but you have to be 19... But the king of it all will be on the mic, Martin Streak from the Edge will be on-site hosting the event.
We will be featuring musical stylings from the likes of Cut Short (Toronto's very own!) The Flatliners and the Artist Life.

S.P.I.N Gallery busted at the seems this past Friday night as the YLGRC08 team along with the heavy hitters from international shred films; La La Land, Apples & Oranges and Time Well Wasted decended for a night of class, catering, cocktails and perogees! Shoulder to shoulder rammed leads us to believe we will be securing a larger venue for next year - sorry for those stuck outside while the Liqour Board made their way around the party doing a head count, checking ID's and insurance docs - we passed and get to party another day....photos attached. Old Balls New Tricks
The 2nd annual Old Balls New Tricks golf tourney came and went with a celebration only rivaled in dreams....Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting, congrats to my younger better looking brother, Karl, for taking home the Old Balls (77 yrs old) award and a 30ft putt for eagle, Neil Williamson for longest drive, and Mike the Money Moniz for closest to the pin.Team Salomon/Smith took down the cup again at -8. The Beaver Has Landed!!!
It was a first ............ on Saturday June 30th at the corner of Kerr St. and Lakeshore in Oakville, Hustler boardshop celebrated Canada Day with the 'Hide-N-Go-Skate' mini ramp. $100 was awarded by Bubblicious for best trick and a slough of prizing was tossed and awarded by Emerica, Nixon, RVCA, Globe, Dragon, Dakine, Friendly and Hustler Boardshop. RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY
Join our friends at Red Bull this Thursday night at Revival, 783 College St., and you will be treated to a jam session by previous Red Bull Music Academy lecturers Bernard 'Pretty' Purdie and Cut Chemist. 'Pretty' Purdie is the most recorded session drummer, and most sampled man in Hip Hop! He has been the drummer for acts ranging from James Brown to the Rolling Stones. Cut Chemist is a legendary turntablist, most well known as a producer and member of the former Hip Hop group Jurassic5. TELUS TRIPLE CHALLENGE
What a weekend! Some of the best riding and skiing we've seen in a long time - of course I didn't take any photo's of the contest but just the party which felt like it was 72 hours long! Adam Chuntz was the big winner in the Mars big air; stomping backside 900 nose, back 1080 nose, and cab1080 tail!! PS He spent his 10% in true fasion!!

Rockstar Rail Session
Congrats to Morgan Parker for taking down the win and $1,000 this past Saturday in the Village at Blue Mountain. Weather finally turned and it was damn cold, probably the coldest yet hovering around -20 with the wind chill. Glad this didn't deter those that were in attendance. VAIL SESSION - BANG
What a weekend - Andreas Wiig took the title and $30k for a ridiculous line up of tricks which included a backside rodeo 10 and a cab 10...David Benedek threw down the highlight frontside cork 1260 for 2nd and Chas Guldemond stepped up for 3rd place with a backside 1260 in his run.....Thanks to the Vail Valley Foundation for including me in the event for the fifth year in a row, it's always a highlight. I'm now stuck in Dallas overnoght now trying to get home in a flash freeze..home tomorrow hopefully - I hope. Some Session photo's courtesy of

I LOVE SNOWBOARDING (Again)
Today was my first day snowboarding in 07...yeah I know super late getting out this year. Too much work and not enough fun but managed to steal 5hrs+ riding Vail's 11,500ft full of lips, whooops and wutangs (not one park run for us!) Managed to grab my board the odd time and even land the old text book tricks (1's & 3's...some even switch) just enough for me to be stoked on snowboarding again. Thanks to the Rusk brothers for sharing this day with me. Time for a hot tub and a stretch. PS Will try and upload photo's from the

Frozen Rail Jam
Congrats to the events team at Blue in pulling off the Rail Jam with less than cooperative weather. Andrew Rusk took the title in the dyeing moments with Jesmond Dubeau in close second followed by Scotty Brown with Colt Cannon abilities. Honourable mention to Eric Brown who linked trick after trick. And what about Palmer Taylor - damn you could see how excited she was and how much fun she was having on the fs boards to fakie!!!

Winter KickOff Party
Special shout outs to Andi Roth and Meghan for orchestrating a master piece of a party. A true Playboy model handed out Billabong outerwear for the best dressed, the lucky recipient was the 80's style mafia dressed Art Director from SBC with a pair of trophy panties dangling from his mouth beat out the Jim Carey orange suit from Dumb and Dumber. A bounty of Coors light was consumed by all which left people more concerned about how much time was left to party as opposed to how much time was left till it friggin snowed.............
